5 Trader Joe's Finds You Need Now

5 Trader Joe's Finds You Need Now

Oh Trader Joe's, you my best friend! That place truly is one of my favorite places to be. My strategy remains the same for every trip, visit on a weekday, get my coffee from Peet's next door before I start my shopping, grab the 2 basket shopping cart (it's the best), take my sweet time and shop like it's my first time there.

Traders is constantly introducing new products in-store. I've rounded out my top 5 that are available in-store now. 2 are seasonal so get on it!

pumpkin_spice_almond_beverage

Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage

Ways to use it:

  1. Creamer in your tea or coffee
  2. Substitute for water or milk in your oatmeal
  3. Use it to bake your pumpkin desserts
  4. Make a full on pumpkin spice latte--1/2 coffee, 1/2 pumpkin spice beverage. Enjoy hot or cold!
trader_joes_garlic_spread

Garlic Spread/Dip

Ways to use it:

  1. Dip--no brainer! Tastes great on veggies.
  2. Dressing--thin it out with water and use it as dressing on your salads
  3. Avocado toast--generously spread on your favorite bread before you add your avocado
  4. Salmon and Chicken--spread this on your protein when it is near it's final cooking stage.
trader_joes_champagne_vinegar

Orange Champagne Vinegar

Ways to use it:

  1. Marinade-add olive oil, champagne vinegar, sliced jalapeno, S&P to a zip lock bag along with raw chicken. Let it marinate for a few hours or overnight before cooking.
  2. Dressing-thin out the dip with a little water until you reach desired consistency then mix in your favorite chopped herbs and drizzle on salad.
  3. Salmon--I like to sear my salmon on the cast iron before I broil it in the oven to finish. I add a splash to the pan right before I put in the oven.
traders_cauliflower_crust_pizza_crust

Cauliflower Crust Pizza Dough

Ways to use it:

1. Pizza--clearly I am stating the obvious here. I recommend seasoning the crust before baking--rub with olive oil, salt and pepper before adding toppings. Place the crust directly on the oven rack for a crispy crust.

2. Breadsticks--these will be more of a crunchy breadstick as the crust is thin. Season the crust with S&P, (I recommend onion salt from Traders), dried oregano and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, bake as directed. Cut into thin beadlike strips and dip with marinara!

Oktoberfest

October is such a great month for beer! I love trying seasonal beers at local breweries and restaurants. My go-to is always Sam Adams Oktoberfest (it wins every time) but Traders has an in-house brand that is pretty darn close! If you're a fan of seasonal beer you will love this and it will save you $4.
