7 Days of Breakfast - Day 6: Matcha Berry Bowl
We are one post away from a week of fall inspired breakfast recipes! I'll be honest, I saved two of my favorites for last. A few blog posts back I was on a Matcha kick--see here , here and here. And well, I still am! Matcha is a green tea in powder form. It is said to have an earthy taste, it's slowly absorbed in the bloodstream meaning it has longer lasting effects and is loaded with antioxidants. There are so many creative ways to enjoy it, including this matcha berry bowl!
1. Enjoy this hot or cold.
2. If enjoying cold, add 2 inches of boiling water along with the Matcha to a shallow mixing bowl, stir until well combined. Pour mix into a bowl along with cold milk and finish with toppings.
3. Use frozen berries in place of fresh or any other fresh fruit you have on hand. Bananas would be a good option too!
