Homemade Pumpkin-Chai Latte

Fall is not in the air but it is on the grocery shelf! Every time I leave the store my canned pumpkin inventory goes way up. What's a girl to do with all that pumpkin? Let me tell you, A LOT! It's pumpkin everything in this house.

Today I am sharing one of my favorite morning drinks, a homemade pumpkin-chai latte. This recipe is so easy that you can whip it up in less than 5 minutes!

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN-CHAI LATTE

1 cup almond milk

heavy pour of heavy whipping cream

2 Trader Joes Chai tea bags

1 heaping TSP of pumpkin pie spice

1 TBS coconut sugar or sweetener of choice

1 splash of vanilla

METHOD:

Heat almond milk in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, add tea bags and let seep for 4 minutes or until desired taste. I really like to taste the chai so that seep time may be too long for some.

Pour liquid into a blender along with canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, heavy whipping cream, vanilla and coconut sugar. Blend for 20 secs or until frothy. You will need a larger mug at this point.

Strain liquid before pouring back into the mug so it catches the pumpkin--this makes your latte easier to drink. Pop cup into the microwave for 1 minute top with a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice and ENJOY!
